Here are some different types of ventilation for your roof that you should definitely consider looking into. one of the most common and effective is called Ridge. Then that's going to be a vent that goes along the very top peak of your roof. Those are great because they're at the highest point. Heat travels up. Therefore it's going to allow optimal cooling. The only thing better than that is a solar attic breeze. There's also your standard turtle events or box vents, which typically come out the sides of a roof to allow proper ventilation. Now, if you have a metal roof, you're not going to require as much ventilation as you would for a shingle, but it's still recommended.
