Anyone who passes the Virginia Insurance exam can get a license to sell and service insurance policies - And it's not that hard! Google insurance agencies in Midlothian Virginia and you will see dozens of established agencies right along with agencies that may have just started. How can you tell if one agent is a true professional from the ones who simply passed the test?
Designations!
Many professions have designations that their members can earn that absolutely sets them apart from the crowd. In the insurance industry there are designations that range from a couple of webinars and a test to a multi-year endeavor with multi-day classes that prep you for a final exam.
Regardless of the route you take, it accomplishes three goals:
- Continues your professional education in your career
- Gives you more knowledge to be a better agent for your clients
- Sets you apart from the agents who may not treat this profession as a career
Each agent at Springer Insurance is always working towards a professional designation, always. At any given moment our agents have at least one class or webinar scheduled that will help them attain their next designation. We feel so strongly about this professional education, the agency picks up the bill for these sometimes very expensive courses.

As of now, April 2025, these are the designations earned by each of our agents and also the one they are working to attain.
