What is overlay? Overlay is when a roofer puts a new roof on top of an old roof. This is bad. this is very bad for the structure of the house, because you have added weight that is not accounted for when the house is built. But along with that, it provides a plethora of other issues in terms of fire hazard safety as well as issues with ventilation.
